According to the latest reports, this former star has claimed that this Manchester United target will end up in the Premier League in the future.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was searching to recruit forwards in the January transfer window there was only one option. Erling Braut Haland seemed destined for Manchester United. With Solskjaer having discovered the teenager’s talent all the way back in their homeland, there seemed to be a special relationship between the two fellow Norwegian stars.

Ultimately, the special relationship was tainted by the presence of Mino Raiola who’s tough negotiations purportedly made the Red Devils drop out of the deal.

Haland instead moved to Borussia Dortmund and the rest is history. The Norwegian superstar is now regarded in the same context as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still on a desperate search to find a prolific goalscorer at Old Trafford.

And while it is unlikely the Red Devils will lure Erling Braut Haland away from Borussia Dortmund this summer, in the future, according to numerous reports Man United remain interested in the teenage sensation.

And former Norwegian footballer Jan Aage Fjortoft via the Daily Express has tipped Haaland to end up in the Premier League ‘one day’ writing in his column in the Sun.

That will give the Red Devils supporters some hope for a future reunion between Solskjaer and Haland.

With the Norwegian star expected to take on the baton from the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, if he does ever end up at Old Trafford goals will be aplenty.

The prospect of Erling Braut Haland linking up with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford is certainly an enticing one.

Although there will be concerns whether Haland would actually sign for Man United. Whilst he does have a good relationship with Solskjaer, his father played for two of the Red Devils’ arch rivals in Manchester City and Leeds United and Haland is thought to be a supporter of both clubs having grown up in England during his early childhood.

Therefore, he might be reluctant to join Man United even if the Red Devils make a lucrative offer.
