According to the latest reports, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given some private words ahead of the transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to embark on a testing summer transfer window. The Norwegian will have to brace himself for a turbulent period at Manchester United. With Solskjaer desperate to build on the squad, the current suspension of the football could not have come at a worst time for the current United boss.

Solskjaer has built strong foundations at Old Trafford. He has established the core elements of the team and has laid down the vestiges of a promising side.

The likes of Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes as well as the emerging young stars such as Scott McTominay, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams are expected to be with the Red Devils for the foreseeable future. They all have the potential to be key components in helping Solskjaer fulfilling his ambitions of toppling the Manchester City and Liverpool hegemony in the Premier League.

More from Red Devil Armada

This summer would have provided Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the perfect opportunity to add to his foundations and start building the bricks. The likes of Jack Grealish, Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho were all touted with a move to Old Trafford and would have been ideal additions for the Norwegian.

However unfortunately, amidst the unfurling crisis around the world, much uncertainty lingers whether the Red Devils will be able to accomplish what Solskjaer has set out to do.

With mounting losses, the huge sums of money which the Red Devils were expected to spend this summer seems like a distant fictitious fantasy.

And according to a report by the Evening Standard via the Daily Express, the Norwegian has been told in a private chat that ‘United will find it difficult to give him an official transfer budget.’

It means, the club do not yet know the extent of their losses, however it seems that they are already taking precautionary measures.

On a reassuring note, in the same conversation, Solskjaer was also purportedly told according to the report that the club would be ‘competitive’ in the market which leaves a slight glimmer of hope about the possible arrival of Jadon Sancho or Jack Grealish.

If Solskjaer cannot sign the players he wants this summer, should he be given more time until the transfer window is back to normal?
