Manchester United: Bruno Fernandes surprises everyone before return
By Bence Bocsak
New Manchester United favourite, Bruno Fernandes has surprised everyone before his return to action according to the latest reports.
It was a signing Manchester United fans were desperate for. Even before, Bruno Fernandes had signed on the dotted line, the Portuguese was hailed as the club’s saviour. The man who would finally ignite life into United’s hapless midfield.
The signs all looked promising, the Red Devils’ previous midfield signings from Sporting had all been a success.
Immediately upon his first appearance, Bruno Fernandes showed glimmers of his class. His clever flicks, smart movement and creative distribution was a breath of fresh air in an extremely bleak midfield.

Of course Bruno Fernandes would not have expected his first six months at United to escalate in the way it did but who would have?
The unprecedented crisis has scuppered the Portuguese in his momentum. Prior to the suspension of the football, Bruno Fernandes had become the Red Devils’ best player.
The lay-off has not been ideal to most of the players in the squad. But with the Red Devils having now returned to training at Carrington things are finally looking promising.
And it looks like Bruno Fernandes kept himself sharp during the lockdown period.
As the fitness tests were carried out on the first day back at training, the Manchester Evening News claims that Bruno Fernandes surprised coaches by being one of the ‘fastest’ players ‘for max speed’ in the squad.
Of course Bruno Fernandes is not known for a great burst of pace, but his numbers are impressive and will bode well for the rest of the campaign.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s likes to play explosive football with pace a key element, if Bruno Fernandes has found a way to increase his speed, the Red Devils faithful could witness an even more formidable midfielder once the Premier League returns.
It will be an especially enticing prospect with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba also set to return.
One thing is for sure, United will be pushing desperately for the top four spot and with Chelsea having slipped up on several occasions, the Red Devils will have a good chance of catching up with their London rivals.
An even fitter Bruno Fernandes can only help.
