These three forwards could help strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s Manchester United in the summer ahead of a crucial 2020/21 campaign.

As a Manchester United icon, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be proud to say he was a prolific forward at Old Trafford. Someone you could always rely on to find the back of the net. A forward with a seemingly innate sense for the goal.

Yet as he stands on an important precipice in his managerial tenure at Old Trafford, Solskjaer will have to reluctantly admit, enshrouded by irony, that he is devoid of a forward of similar ilk.

In the summer, the Norwegian will have to address his forward options if he is to fulfil his ambitions at the club.

He will have plenty of options to assess. Here are three players who could be perfect for the Red Devils.

1. Victor Osimhen

The Nigerian forward has been extremely prolific since his arrival at Lille. Victor Osimhen is a tall pacy forward with great strength and a stupendous eye for goal.

Having impressed in Belgium last season, Osimhen has stepped up in a more competitive division and has also proved his worth in the Champions League group stages.

At just 21 years of age, Victor Osimhen has plenty of time to develop and to become even better. His age fits perfectly into the current transfer strategy at United, and his style of play concentrated on his pace is well suited to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s counter attacking football.

2. Jonathan David

He’s been one of the most prolific forwards in Europe this season. Jonathan David is a Canadian international blessed with pace, agility and great technical ability.

At Gent Jonathan David has established himself as the Belgian’s side star player and he is expected to depart for pastures new in the summer.

He’s been linked with the Red Devils in the past, and his style of play suggests he has all the traits to become a world-class talent.

He’s a more prolific Roberto Firmino and he could be exactly the player Solskjaer is looking for. At just 20 years old, he will only get better too.

3. Myron Boadu

At just 19 years of age, Myron Boadu has already overcome two serious injuries. Otherwise he could have been featuring for AZ Alkmaar much earlier.

This season, Myron Boadu has been a revelation in the Dutch league. His pace has tormented defences. Myron Boadu possess great power and as well as having a venomous finish, he is also able to conjure his teammates goalscoring opportunities on a consistent basis.

20 goals and 13 assists this season is a mightily impressive tally. Linking up with the likes of Rashford, Martial and Fernandes, could only make him more formidable.

Next. Red Devils are expected to send as many as six players out on loan. dark
