According to the latest reports, Manchester United are interested in signing this prolific Premier League forward in the summer transfer window.

In the summer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is braced for one of the must crucial transfer windows in Manchester United’s history. There have been pivotal transfer windows in the past. A whole plethora of successful ones and some utterly dreadful windows too.

However this window will be the most important one. This summer will herald a pivotal moment in the club’s history. If Solskjaer gets it right, he could help the Red Devils return to the pinnacle of English football, having already built an impressive foundation.

Though, if Solskjaer gets it wrong, it could signal a similar devastation and plight as United’s rivals Liverpool experienced in the 90s.

More from Red Devil Armada

Having lingered in mediocrity for almost seven years since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United need to bolster the squad with the right candidates to catapult the club back to the top.

A striker will be a crucial piece of the puzzle, with Solskjaer devoid of options upfront. He’s had to rely on the brilliant emergence of Mason Greenwood, but with the Englishman just 18 years of age, there is the danger of a burnout.

It is why, United will want to sign an experienced forward.

According to Duncan Castles via Twitter, that candidate could be Wolverhampton forward Raul Jimenez. The reliable journalist who was the first to report the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka confirmed the Red Devils’ interest on his personal Twitter account:

Raul Jimenez has been extremely prolific in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons. The Mexican forward has managed double figures in both of his seasons at Wolverhampton and he has become a fan favourite.

Jimenez is extremely adept at holding the ball up, he’s blessed with great technical ability and pace too. Raul Jimenez can weave past his opponents with ease and unleash a venomous shot on goal.

He could be exactly what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs, however there are will be some concerns about Raul Jimenez’s age.

The Mexican striker is 29 years old and he does not fit into the transfer policy implemented by Solskjaer which has concentrated on buying young players with potential.
