According to the reports, Premier League has decided Manchester United‘s opponents for their come-back game amidst the global crisis.

Despite making three big signings last summer, it was believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s  Manchester United side would struggle owing to the lack of squad depth.

And that assumption came true when three main players of the squad – Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba, and Marcus Rashford –  became the victims of long-term injury issues.

Even though United did start the season with a magnificent 4-0 home victory against London rivals Chelsea, they soon started losing points and failed to put up consistent performances week in, week out.

Their inconsistency came to hurt the club time and time again. While United showcased their formidable performances against the so-called ‘big six’ teams, they struggled to beat low-block sides such as AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Watford, and some others who love to sit back and defend for the whole ninety minutes of football.

Consequently, the fans at the Stretford End saw the club’s worst start to a league campaign in 30 years.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started feeling the pressure of the job and it looked as if there was no back-out for the Norwegian, January transfer window appeared like a job-save for the former United hero.

Without thinking much about the transfer fees, Solskjaer went on to make two pivotal acquisitions in the form of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo.

Since Bruno Fernandes joined United, the team’s dynamic of playing football has drastically improved. They were on an 11-match unbeaten run across all competition when the current crisis hit the world and put all the footballing actions on hold.

Nevertheless, the game football is set to make its return to English soil sooner than later. With 92 games yet to be played in England’s top-tier competition, Premier League’s ‘Project Restart’ is discussing every possible step they could take to end the 2019-20 campaign.

As per the reports from The MailPremier League has told their broadcasters to be ready for a restart next month.

The same report suggests Premier League wants to make its return on a Friday night fixture believed to be ‘Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United’.

Although nothing is fixed, the game could be played on either June 12 or June 19.

Manchester United met Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur once this season in the Premier League at Old Trafford where the Red Devils secured a 2-1 victory over the Lilywhites.

Manchester United could complete a league-double over Mourinho’s Tottenham, as the likes of Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, and Anthony Martial will be all fit and raring to go.
