According to the latest reports, Manchester United will be signing one of Ryan Giggs‘ star players in the summer transfer window this year.

For over twenty years, there was only one man dashing down the wings at Old Trafford. Ryan Giggs was the ultimate one club man. His name is synonymous with Manchester United just like Sir Alex Ferguson or Bobby Charlton.

His loyalty is what every fan looks for in a player.

But his talent and ability to adapt his game is something to aspire towards too. From his shaggy curls and darting legs weaving past defenders to his immaculate beard and more technically astute playing style, Giggs was able to transform his game to compensate for his loss of pace which enabled him to play for the club for as long as he did.

It is no surprise someone with such an astute footballing brain has now delved into the world of management.

For a brief period, Giggs’ adventures begun at United, however that was merely on an interim basis. Now the Welshman is in charge of leading his country and developing Wales’ up and coming talent.

Giggs has established a young national team, with the core of the side founded on players under the age of 23.

Swansea centre back Joe Rodon is one of those players.

The towering Welsh centre back has been thoroughly impressive since he managed to establish himself as a regular member in Swansea’s first team. He is technically adept, comfortable on the ball and fearsome in the air.

And according to the latest reports, Joe Rodon could emulate his current international coach by making his name at Old Trafford.

Mirror Sport via Metro has claimed that United are preparing a move for Joe Rodon as Ryan Giggs is ‘urging’ the club to sign the centre-back since the United legend ‘a big fan’ of him.

With Ryan Giggs’ recommendations and United looking to bolster their defence but not break the bank in the summer, Joe Rodon could be the perfect option.

He’d be available for a relatively cheap price and he could be a better option than the current one that is Phil Jones.

Daniel James has done well since making the switch from Swansea to Old Trafford, last summer, now Joe Rodon looks set to follow suit.
