According to the reports, Manchester United have identified a candidate to replace Odion Ighalo ahead of the summer transfer window.

A die-hard United supporter from his early childhood days, Ighalo saw his dream of playing on the holy turf of Old Trafford fulfilled in the dying minutes of the January transfer window when the Red Devils secured a desperate loan deal for his services.

As per the rumours surrounding the Mancunian club, there are talks of extending Ighalo’s stay at Manchester United. Though, Manchester United have not placed any contract renewal before the Nigerian.
In case Ighalo returns to China, Manchester United have started searching for his replacement. As per what French outlet L’Equipe believe, the Red Devils have kept a ‘close eye’ on Edinson Cavani‘s situation at PSG.
With the Uruguayan striker’s contract at the French capital set to expire this summer, Man United could secure his move for free.
Since moving to PSG from Napoli in 2013, Cavani has proved his worth for the French giants season in, season out, scoring 200 goals from 301 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 33-year-old Uruguayan has seen himself sidelined with some serious injury issues of late, resulting in PSG being reluctant to retain his services.
Besides Man United, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are believed to be interested in making a summer move for the lethal striker.
Even though Edison Cavani has scored more goals than Odion Ighalo in his career, United may want to extend Ighalo’s stay at the club instead. The Nigerian is three-years younger than Cavani and has already proved his appetite for the Red Devils.
Now, we have to wait and see what the future holds for both prodigies.
