Manchester United given brand new Premier League return date

According to the latest reports Manchester United could be back in action and playing Premier League sooner than initially expected.

Even the most ardent football fan has forgotten about the sport at some points during the last few months and was struck by a sense of dread and anxiety. The current crisis unfurling all around the world has created an unprecedented scenario. Manchester United and the rest of the footballing world has felt its ramifications.

The Red Devils were one of the last English clubs to play a professional game before football pretty much ceased all around the globe.

Even so Man United’s last game had been played over two months ago during early March.

Much has changed in the two months which has passed. The hunger for the football to return is there amongst every fan. However, there are genuine concerns about how this could be carried out safely and appropriately.

With guidelines instructing us to socially distance expected to remain for some time, given that football is a contact sport, it makes it unfeasible to be played in the current moment.

Much will need to be answered in the coming weeks.

However the government has now given the green light for football to resume from June onwards via The Guardian in what is a major step in deciding the future of the Premier League.

Of course the re-start is subject to conditions and the Premier League will have to lay out an extensive plan in how it intends to uphold the safety of the players.

However, if the return of the football can be achieved safely, just like in the Bundesliga which has now started to commence, it could bring joy and delight to plenty of fans around the world.

United looked good prior to the suspension of the football. Undoubtedly the players will be rusty, however with the likes of Paul Pogba and even Marcus Rashford potentially being fit ahead of the re-start, it will open up the prospect of an enticing partnership.

Bruno Fernandes who has made a transformative impact on the team, is yet to play alongside the two star players at Old Trafford and the trio starting for United could make the Red Devils into a formidable side.
