Manchester United beat Arsenal to sign exciting wonderkid

According to the latest reports, Manchester United will beat Arsenal to the services of this exciting wonderkid ahead of the summer transfer window.

For over a decade between the late 90s and early 00s, Manchester United against Arsenal was the ultimate rivalry. Steeped in elitism, the clubs competed for status and trophies year after year. They were led by two of the best managers to have coached in the Premier League.

And whilst both Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have departed Old Trafford and the Emirates respectively, they have left a huge legacy at the two clubs.

Wenger and Ferguson established a strong academy during their spells as managers. Arsenal and Man United have one of the best youth development programs in England, and the signs are eminent in their first teams too.

The Red Devils have the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Scott McTominay and Brandon Williams who came through the ranks. Meanwhile Arsenal have a plethora of youth stars in their current team too.

Mikel Arteta and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, two former players who were coached by Ferguson and Wenger respectively, have taken on the baton from their former coaches.

Now Solskjaer and Arteta are trying to emulate their former managers.

With both Arsenal and Man United having fallen from their status as the elite clubs in England, Arteta and Solskjaer face an arduous climb back to the top.

It is clear, both of them will turn to the philosophies of old in their ambition to do so.

Youth will play a key part.

Omari Forson is just 15 years of age, but the young midfielder has already featured for Man United’s U18 side this season.

Man United had lured him to the club from Tottenham over a year ago in a major coup and Omari Forson has played 11 games for the club’s U18 side this season.

He’s impressed in all his cameos and starts. A technically gifted and pacy midfielder, Omari Forson has the ability to dictate the game from midfield.

But Omari Forson’s future at Old Trafford seemed to be up in the air, with Arsenal purportedly trying to lure him back to London.

It seems those doubts will be a thing of the past however. According to the Daily Mail via the Metro, United have beaten Arsenal in the race for the 15 year old with Omari Forson set to sign a professional contract at Old Trafford.

The future is certainly bright for Forson.
