According to the latest report there could be a huge and unexpected twist in the saga between Manchester United and Paul Pogba.

From one moment to the next the perpetual saga between Manchester United and Paul Pogba has been a whirlwind. For over a year now the media have been bombarded with rumours about Pogba’s future.

It is hard to follow. Blink and you might just miss the latest twist in the tale.

And it seems there could be yet another one.

While in recent months it seemed increasingly more likely that Paul Pogba would depart for pastures new in the summer transfer window, it seems that might not be the case.

More from Red Devil Armada

Guillem Balague who is a Spanish football and transfer expert speaking on his Youtube channel via the Daily Express has revealed that he expects Paul Pogba to stay at United and become a ‘leader’ for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side in a major u-turn.

The news will be unprecedented and shocking for the Red Devils faithful. Most of them have already resigned to the prospect of losing Pogba in the summer with the French World Cup winner seeming to fall out of favour at Old Trafford.

In addition Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola is on bad terms with the Red Devils and the cajoling words of the Italian super-agent can be hard to resist for many.

However with the current situation and the uncertainty due to the crisis and suspension of football, it seems Pogba’s proposed departure from Old Trafford has been scuppered.

Balague’s tip that Pogba will stay at United and fight to become a leader will be a welcome one for the fans.

In all fairness to the Frenchman whilst he struggled under the rigid and defensive football Jose Mourinho deployed, when he was fit he thrived under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s more free-flowing style.

Paul Pogba enjoyed his best individual season in his career with the Norwegian in charge in terms of goals and assists.

With the football on hold, the Frenchman has had the time to build his fitness up and he will be raring to get back into action.

On his day, Paul Pogba is one of the best in his position and the Red Devils will certainly not complain if he produces the performances people have come to expect from him.

Next. This is when the Red Devils will be back in action. dark
