Manchester United identify the perfect Harry Maguire partner
By Bence Bocsak
According to the latest reports Manchester United may have identified the perfect Harry Maguire partner ahead of the summer transfer window.
Many eyes were batted when Manchester United made their official bid for Harry Maguire. “£80 million?” It would make the England star the most expensive defender in the history of football. Considering Maguire’s stock and performances have not been as consistent, some doubted the move would pay dividends. Maguire was written off before he even kicked a ball in United colours.
Almost a year later and those doubts seem to be behind him. Harry Maguire has proved he is worth every penny at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needed a stalwart figure at the back. Someone who could lead by example and finally cut out all the mistakes the Red Devils have been making.

Harry Maguire has done exactly just that. The bulky centre back has established himself as a favourite of the Stretford End. His large head and bullet headers have become iconic.
Maguire has been so impressive he has also been named as the club captain following the departure of Ashley Young in January despite his short spell with the club.
The England international has led by example. Harry Maguire has thrived since taking on the armband and his performances have been even better than before.
Of course however, a defence cannot be made up by just one person.
It needs to be a cohesive structure and it is integral for the success of the team. United’s former legendary coach once coined the term ‘attack wins you games, defence wins you titles.’
And while Harry Maguire has been impressive it is clear he lacks an adequate partner.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to make amends.
According to the latest reports the Norwegian might have just found the perfect addition.
Spanish outlet AS via Sports Mole has claimed that United are ‘exploring’ the possibility of signing Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid in the summer transfer window.
Mohammed Salisu is a young defender with tremendous amount of potential who is of the same ilk as Kalidou Koulibaly.
His performances this season in LA Liga have been extremely impressive and he looks well suited to partner Maguire at the back.
Do you think Mohammed Salisu would be a good addition for United?
