Manchester United: French giants make incredible bid for Paul Pogba

According to the latest reports, Manchester United are braced for an incredible bid from Paris Saint German for the services of Paul Pogba.

The perpetual merry go round surrounding Paul Pogba’s future has been hard to follow. Almost daily, new twists and turns occur. Blink or close your eyes for just a millisecond and you will miss it. One moment it seems the Frenchman is destined to stay at Manchester United, another Pogba seems like he is inevitably on the way out.

Paul Pogba is an eccentric character. He divides opinion. Few would have thought he would ever return to Old Trafford following his departure as a youngster to Juventus. Yet Pogba did the unthinkable and returned to the club where it had all begun. Where the relationship had already seemed sour.

Nonetheless, he was welcomed back with open arms.

On his day the Frenchman is one of the best midfielders in the world. He can skip past players with ease and dictate the game from midfield. A man of the match performance in the World Cup final in 2018 exemplified exactly just that.

Yet at Old Trafford, the Frenchman has failed to rekindle that sort of form. It’s difficult to blame him though. Paul Pogba has been part of the team through an extremely turbulent time in United’s history.

The Frenchman blossomed under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However injuries and perpetual rumours about his future have prevented Paul Pogba from fully kicking on.

Now the lure of a move away seems most likely. The cajoling words of super-agent Mino Raiola usually conquer when it comes to prising away top assets from their current clubs. Paul Pogba looks set to be the latest victim of Raiola’s charm.

Juventus and Real Madrid are purported suitors, but Paris Saint Germain from his homeland are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

And according to Calciomercato via the Daily Mail, the French outfit are prepared to make a huge bid for Paul Pogba.

According to the report, PSG have tabled money plus two talented players in exchange for the United midfielder.

The two players are Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria.

Julian Draxler has fallen out of favour at Paris Saint Germain but still looks like a promising talent who could rekindle his career.

Angel Di Maria’s name will be more shocking for Red Devils’ faithful, considering the Argentine midfielder had a miserable spell at Old Trafford prior to his move to PSG. However, in recent years Di Maria has blossomed.
