After all the scrutiny of the past couple of seasons, Ed Woodward has toiled and he must be eager to prove his worth to the United board.

An ethos which reigned supreme during the golden eras of Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson.
It has seen the likes of Marcus Rashford, Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay blossom under the Norwegian boss’ guidance.
Jadon Sancho could be the cherry on top of the cake.
The Borussia Dortmund winger is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world football. He is lightning quick, with the supple and rapid feet to slalom past players with ease and the uncanny vision to find team-mates through the tightest of spaces.
Now according to The Sun, the Red Devils have ‘agreed almost every detail’ of the Borussia Dortmund winger’s transfer.
That could make Jadon Sancho the most expensive transfer in the club’s history, surpassing Paul Pogba‘s move from Juventus in 2016.
And it could be worth every penny.
The 20 year old, English international is perfectly suited for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s explosive and counter attacking style of play.
Jadon Sancho likes to isolate his opponents’ on the flanks and take them on one on one, before breaking into the final third and penetrating the opposition’s box with either an assist or a goal.
His numbers over the past couple of years have been extremely impressive. Jadon Sancho has hit 31 goals and 42 assists in 90 games for Borussia Dortmund over his short career.
Imagine those figures at United alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. The prospect is mouthwatering.
Of course, The Sun’s report should be taken with a pinch of salt. The English media outlet is not the most credible of sources. However it is clear that the Red Devils are edging closer and closer to signing the 20 year old star.
Would Jadon Sancho be a good signing for United?
