According to the latest reports, Manchester United have made a surprising decision about their summer transfer target, Jack Grealish.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is bracing himself for a make or break summer transfer window at Manchester United. The Norwegian boss will be looking to put his puzzle together at Old Trafford and build a team ready to challenge the Red Devils’ arch rivals.

Considering United are currently trailing league leaders, Liverpool by 37 points, the task is a monumental one for the former cult hero of the Stretford End.

Solskjaer’s name will always be indelible to United fans, thanks to his goal in the Champions League final, however, if he gets things right as a manager, his name will catapult into an esoteric existence at Old Trafford.

More from Red Devil Armada

It’s clear, the midfield will be the area where Solskjaer will need to strengthen the most. Often this season the Red Devils’ makeshift midfield has been run rugged. Offensively most of Solskjaer’s midfielders are devoid of creativity and flair.

For months before the suspension of the football, there had been an obvious candidate to fix the Norwegian’s woes.

The current Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish oozes quality and flair on the pitch. His nimble feet can slalom past his opponents with ease, and his shooting technique is fearsome and deadly.

Grealish possess, everything Solskjaer lacks. The Aston Villa captain is a fighter on the pitch and a lively nuisance to the opposition.

Yet there comes a major risk with Jack Grealish. The 24 year old is renowned for his reckless antics off the pitch.

As a youngster he’d embark on boozy nights out, meanwhile recently Grealish was spotted breaking quarantine and attending a party at his friend’s house amidst the lockdown in England.

Grealish’s actions were irresponsible and indicate he is yet to mature off the pitch. That will be a huge concern to fans. United have always prided themselves on the utmost professionalism.

Yet despite this according ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still, shockingly, keen to sign Jack Grealish in the summer.

The move could be a gamble by the Norwegian and one he cannot afford to make considering the importance of his transfer activity ahead of next season.
