Manchester United set to make world-record transfer
By Bence Bocsak
According to the latest reports, Manchester United could be set to make a world-record transfer in the summer transfer window.
It was a short and simple statement. He merely spoke candidly to an imposing question. He only said how he truly felt. Yet as soon as the words left his mouth, the world had exploded into a frenzy. As he spoke thousands of keyboards were typing out the same exact words: Harry Kane admits he might leave Tottenham. Somewhere inside their homes, the members of the Manchester United board must have shrieked out in delight. They had found the answer to what they sought.
The Red Devils have always had world class strikers. In fact they usually had two, if not three and sometimes even four, under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson. I won’t list all the names. You know the ones. Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Dimitar Berbatov and Robin van Persie.
Despite this Ferguson did conversely coin the term, ‘attack wins you games, defence wins you titles.’ Paradoxically at the end of the day it is winning which wins you titles and nothing else.

And without a potent strike force, winning is a tough task.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer discovered this the hard way at United this season.
The Norwegian played the ruthless boss in the summer, letting out of favour Romelu Lukaku depart for Inter Milan, but he made the calamitous mistake of not replacing the Belgian.
It left the Red Devils with a gaping void. A void so deep the Norwegian struggled to fill it even in the January transfer window.
Ever since the conclusion of January, the United board have been searching for candidates to supply the much needed firepower upfront.
The search has taken them across the globe. Yet none of the names they discovered gets the hearts titillating as much Harry Kane.
Harry Kane is a goal-machine. He was born to score goals. It’s in his blood. It’s innate.
He is a World Cup top-goalscorer, a soon to be Premier League legend and the England captain.
He is exactly the type of person who could fill the void at United. The man who could erase all the memories of the club’s struggles from this season.
And it seems the United board have been given a huge boost in their pursuit.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy ‘will sanction the departure of Harry Kane to Manchester United for a world record fee.’
What do you think, should United sign Harry Kane?
