Manchester United fighting Liverpool for the ‘best’ talent in England

According to the latest reports Manchester United and Liverpool are fighting to sign this exciting youth prospect who has been dubbed as the ‘best.’

Throughout the decades, two sides have wrestled for hegemony in England. It had begun in the 1950s with the rise of the Busby babes. From the 1960s however, Bill Shankly had arrived in Merseyside and he would herald an unprecedented era of domination. It could only be toppled by one man. When Sir Alex Ferguson was appointed as Manchester United manager, he declared he would ‘knock Liverpool off their perch.’ At the time everyone laughed.

Yet 20 years and 13 league titles later, the laughs turned into adulation.

Now there seems to be a new era of domination, the financial wealth of Manchester City has sent United down a slippery slope.

Jurgen Klopp meanwhile has made Liverpool rise from the ashes. The German is building his own dynasty and the Reds look unbeatable at this present moment.

United linger in the shadows of their two arch rivals.

Alas, hope remains however. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to return the good times to the club.

Having spent over a decade as a player at Old Trafford, he understands the traditions of the club and the importance of the rivalry between the Red Devils and Liverpool.

On the pitch, Solskjaer was one of the few who bested Klopp in the Premier League this season with a formidable performance at Old Trafford.

The passion seems to have returned to the club, the players are proud to wear the jersey once more.

Youth has blossomed under the Norwegian.

Solskjaer clearly has a long term vision at Old Trafford and he is looking to thwart Jurgen Klopp’s reign.

And in the Red Devils quest it seems they will be going up against their arch rivals to try to lure an important transfer target to Old Trafford.

According to Birmingham live United and Liverpool are among clubs looking to secure the services of Carney Chukwuemeka of Aston Villa.

The 16 year old midfielder was described by Aston Villa chief executive as the ‘best player’ in the country in his age group.

The England U17 international has already played for Aston Villa’s U23 side and has been in impressive form this season.

Would Carney Chukwuemeka be a good signing for United?
