Manchester United to sign the perfect Harry Maguire partner

According to the latest reports Manchester United may have found the perfect candidate to partner with Harry Maguire and could sign him in the summer.
‘Attack wins you games. Defence wins you titles.’ The famous term was coined by Manchester United’s legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.
It is a statement which has been proven true on many occasions for the Red Devils. Under the leadership of Ferguson, United always had formidable defensive partnerships. From the likes of Bruce and Pallister, to Stam as well as Ferdinand and Vidic.
The club’s history is littered with iconic defenders and centre backs.

It was often the key to help Sir Alex Ferguson dominate the Premier League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who spent over a decade under Ferguson’s leadership at United experienced everything first hand.
Now as the sole man at the helm at Old Trafford, the Norwegian has endeavoured to emulate his former mentor.
Last summer, Solskjaer made Harry Maguire one of the most expensive defensive transfers of all time.
That transfer has proven fruitful so far with the England international hugely impressive during his first season at Old Trafford.
Half way in, Harry Maguire was named the permanent club captain which is a testament just how valuable he has been at United.
However, the United defence is far from perfect at the moment. Harry Maguire has lacked an adequate partner in order to provide the necessary steel in defence.
The likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly have failed to prove their worth as partners alongside the bulky Englishman.
Yet it seems, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be on the verge of redeeming this problem for the Red Devils.
According to ESPN via the Metro, United are ‘ready’ to test Juventus’ ‘resolve’ and make a move for Dutch centre back Matthijs de Ligt in the summer transfer window.
Matthijs de Ligt is regarded as one of the brightest centre back prospects in the world at the moment.
He was crucial in helping Ajax reach the Champions League semi-finals last season and he has all the traits to go right to the very top of the game.
Matthijs de Ligt is still young which means he could give the Red Devils decades worth of service and it’s why he could be the perfect partner for Harry Maguire.
