Manchester United’s first summer signing could be from this Spanish giant
By Bence Bocsak
According to the latest reports Manchester United are prepared to negotiate for this star player with this gigantic Spanish club in the summer.
In recent times, few have lauded Manchester United’s transfer record. The Red Devils have often over-spent on talent who were undeserving of the high fees which were forked out for them.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer however is on a mission to change that.
The Norwegian himself was a bargain purchase all the way back in 1996 when he arrived at Old Trafford as a player.

The rest is history.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became a cult hero as a player at Old Trafford.
Now as a manager, the jury on his status is still to be determined.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been somewhat hit and miss so far. However in recent weeks, before the football was suspended, the Red Devils had just seemed to pick up an impressive run of form.
A new signing could establish his status and the safety of his position at the club.
That new signing could be Philippe Coutinho in the summer.
According to Spanish outlet Sport via the Daily Mail, United are prepared to negotiate with Spanish giants, Barcelona, in order to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford.
Yes you heard that right, United want to sign Philippe Coutinho in the summer. The Philippe Coutinho. The Coutinho who once played for the club’s arch rivals Liverpool.
The Coutinho who has been ridiculed ever since he departed Anfield in favour of the Nou Camp.
The Philippe Coutinho who has been on loan at Bayern Munich this season where he has struggled with consistency.
But also the same Philippe Coutinho who tormented Premier League defenders for years. The Coutinho who was dubbed the ‘magician’ at Liverpool and his twinkle toes chopped ankles for fun.
The old adage goes that form is temporary, class is permanent. And in the case of Philippe Coutinho that could certainly be the case.
Often managers have to make bold decisions just like Ferguson did when he brought Solskjaer to the club in 1996. Making a move for Philippe Coutinho could be the biggest gamble in Solskjaer’s United career, but it could also be the biggest masterstroke.
Would you be happy if United signed Philippe Coutinho?
