With Manchester United’s players stuck in isolation, the Norwegian, Red Devils boss, has made a surprising demand from his players.

It’s a difficult time for everyone right now. Manchester United’s players are going through an unprecedented era in footballing history.

With the entire world stuck in quarantine, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players have been separated from each other and stuck inside.

It is a major disruption from the regimented structure and routines which the players are accustomed to day in day out.

Fitness levels are bound to skew and dip in the coming months with the quarantine expected to last for some time.

As athletes, it is essential to continue to stay fit and maintain a regular fitness schedule in order to be ready when the Premier League eventually resumes. The current expected date is purported to be around the beginning of May.

Though of course that could change any time. Much will hinge on how the crisis escalates in Britain over the coming months.

In the meantime United’s players are stuck inside their homes and spending time with their families.

That has made Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job a difficult one.

The Norwegian is in unknown territory. No manager in the club’s history has had to handle such a crisis.

However with the assistance of the current technological age, he is more equipped than anyone to handle it.

Speaking on the club’s official website, the Norwegian has revealed how he is dealing with the lockdown and life stuck at home. Solskjaer said he has been keeping in touch with his staff and players, especially through ‘WhatsApp.’

However the Norwegian has admitted that the ‘unknown’ has made it difficult to prepare as there is no time limit on how long the lockdown will continue.

Additionally, somewhat facetiously, Solskjaer made a surprising demand from his players in order to ensure they maintain their fitness. It involves the Red Devils’ players including their partners or spouses in their preparation.

Solskjaer said the following to United’s official website:

"“Most of the players have got good facilities and decent gardens so, hopefully, their wives and girlfriends will be able to put some passes and crosses in.”"

We are not sure how that will go down with some of the players’ partners but if it keeps United’s players match sharp then there will be no complains from our behalf.
