This world class Manchester United target has revealed that he is considering his future in a huge boost for the Red Devils.

There are certain moments which define a manager’s career. Often these moments are made in the transfer market. The reason why the likes of Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson were so successful at Manchester United is because they were always able to bring in the right personnel.

In the summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s ability to emulate the Red Devils’ former heroes will be put to the first major test.

It is no secret the Red Devils are in dire need of an out and out striker. Under the leadership of Ferguson and Busby, United always had mercurial forwards, Wayne Rooney, Denis Law and Eric Cantona spring to mind.

Yet at the moment, United lack that world class presence to lead the line. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have often filled in for the role, but the two young players are more confident on the flanks.

Solskjaer almost got it right in the January transfer window. The Norwegian embarked on a relentless pursuit to sign his fellow compatriot and teenage sensation, Erling Braut Haland.

The deal was close, but ultimately Haland opted to sign for Borussia Dortmund instead.

Solskjaer was contrived to make a temporary solution and brought in Nigerian Odion Ighalo.

And whilst Ighalo has done well in his short tenure at Old Trafford so far, it is clear that at the age of 30, he is not an option for the future.

On the other hand, purported United target, Harry Kane might be. The England captain is a world class forward who has been the top goalscorer in the Premier League and at the World Cup.

He is an innate goalscorer, with a venomous shot and an uncanny ability to find himself in the perfect positions to hit the back of the net.

And it seems the Red Devils have been given a more tangible boost in their pursuit of the Tottenham star.

Speaking on Instagram live via Sky Sports, Harry Kane admitted that he would consider leaving Tottenham. Harry Kane said the following.

"“It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it,”"

The comments might be a subtle confirmation of Harry Kane’s desire to leave Tottenham in the summer. Especially considering the dire state Spurs are in at the moment and their mighty decline since last season.

United meanwhile seem to be on an upward trajectory.
