This could be the perfect Manchester United summer signing
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for this star and he could be the perfect signing for the Red Devils.
Form is temporary, class is permanent. A wise sage once said. The adage is applicable to football. Especially when it comes to certain players. Some of the best players in the world have had dips in form or played in formations which did not suit them. When it comes to current Manchester United target Thomas Lemar that certainly seems to be the case.
According to ESPN via the Metro, United have begun talks to sign the French winger from his current club Atletico Madrid.
Over two years ago, Thomas Lemar was linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal who were both prepared to make a £72 million bid for the French international. A deal never materialised but the hefty asking price was certainly justified.

Thomas Lemar was turning heads at the time. The diminutive winger had just enjoyed a stellar campaign playing for a free flowing and offensive AS Monaco side.
Lemar found the back of the net 14 times and gave out 18 assists in all competitions as he helped Monaco reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
As moves to Arsenal and Liverpool fell through, Lemar made the bold decision to sign for Atletico Madrid.
However in the last couple of years the Frenchman has struggled in the Spanish capital. Lemar’s explosive style of play is not suited to the rigid and defensive football which Simeone deploys at Atletico.
With the focus predominantly on defence, Lemar has failed to rekindle his form from Monaco.
This season he has not scored a single goal or registered an assist.
But that could all change if Lemar makes the move to United.
Solskjaer’s side focus on free flowing attacking football which could bring the best out of Lemar.
The Red Devils currently have a shortage of wingers in their squad and Lemar could be the perfect addition.
Currently with the Atletico winger out of form, United might be able to acquire him on the cheap. It is a no brainer for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Would you be happy with the signing of Thomas Lemar?
