Manchester United are set for a major battle with some huge Premier League clubs for the signature of this exciting winger from the Bundesliga.

Think of Manchester United over the years and you will remember their famous list of wingers. From David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo, some of the world’s best wingers have graced the Old Trafford turf.

However, when you consider the current Red Devils squad it is blatantly obvious that the team is lacking in that department.

In fact since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo the club haven’t had a truly world class winger at all.

More from Red Devil Armada

Marcus Rashford has played in that role with some distinction this season, but the United number ten is more comfortable in a forward position.

Rashford is not of the same ilk as the likes of Beckham, Giggs or Ronaldo who are natural born wingers.

It is a void which will have to be filled in the summer by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if he is serious about getting the Red Devils back to where they belong. A truly world class winger is a pivotal part of every successful side.

The perfect candidate could be the exciting 22 year old Jamaican prospect Leon Bailey.

And according to the Daily Express via the Daily Mail, Manchester United are interested in signing Bailey of Bayer Leverkusen.

Leon Bailey set the Bundesliga alight during his first season with Leverkusen in which he struct 12 goals in all competitions.

His form dipped last season, however Bailey has found some consistency yet again and currently has seven goals in all competitions for the club.

What is impressive about the winger is his pace and his ability to beat players one on one with ease.

This asset would certainly help Leon Bailey fit into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s counter attacking style of play.

With his frightening pace and tenacious style of play the 22 year old has the potential to become a world beater. Already he is making Bundesliga defenders quake in their boots.

However according to the report by the Express the Red Devils will have to fight off competition from their Premier League rivals, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in order to land the promising winger.
