Manchester United are in a race with PSG for Italian ace
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United are targeting an exciting Italian attacker according to the latest reports but they will have to fight off competition from PSG.
Not many Italian players have graced the turf at Old Trafford in a Manchester United shirt. And even those who have, failed to make a lasting impression on the Red Devils faithful. The likes of Federico Macheda, Giuseppe Rossi and Matteo Darmian had forgettable spells at the club.
Italy are one of the biggest footballing nations in the world. Yet for some reason or another, United have had no fortune with their imports from the famous country.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could soon change that at Old Trafford.

According to Le10Sport the Red Devils are in a desperate battle with Paris Saint Germain to land the Fiorentina winger, Federico Chiesa.
Chiesa is certainly a name that will excite the fans. He is of a much higher calibre than the Italian players who have donned the United shirt previously. Perhaps if he does sign for the Red Devils he will have much better fortune too.
The Italian winger plays football like it is an art. He has quick and supple feet which enables him to skip past players with ease.
In addition Federico Chiesa also has the pace that could suit the Red Devils’ counter attacking style of play.
He is also versatile and can play on either flank as well as a false number nine which is the position Fiorentina have deployed him in this season.
The fact that Federico Chiesa also has a prolific goalscoring record makes him the perfect package. The Italian scored 12 goals in all competitions for Fiorentina last season and he has already hit 7 goals this season for a struggling side.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Federico Chiesa would be an exciting addition at Old Trafford. At 22, he still has the potential to improve and become even better.
United have had a shortage of wingers at Old Trafford over the last few years. They have yearned for someone of Federico Chiesa’s ilk since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
However of course, the Red Devils will have to fight off PSG’s financial might in order to land the young Italian which could be a stumbling block.
Would you be happy with the signing of Federico Chiesa?
