Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrived at Old Trafford as an exciting prospect under Ferguson in 1996. He is no stranger to the wonderkid phenomenon. Now he is the new man at the helm and he is looking to continue the Red Devils’ tradition.
Solskjaer has already given plenty of youth players a chance in the first team from United’s academy including the likes of Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood.
And it seems he isn’t just looking to bring through youth players, but Solskjaer also seems to be targeting wonderkids in the transfer market according to reports.
According to Fotospor via the Daily Mail the Red Devils are eyeing a move for Fenerbahce and Turkish wonderkid Omer Faruk Beyaz.
Omer Faruk Beyaz is regarded as one of the most promising academy talents at the Turkish club. He is an attacking midfielder who can also play in a more deep lying central position.
Beyaz has represented Turkey at various youth levels, from U15s to U17s. The 16 year old has an impressive record at international level. For the U15s, Beyaz scored four goals in eleven games, meanwhile for the U16s he managed seven goals in fourteen games and he currently has five goals in ten games for the U17s.
He is yet to make his senior appearance for Fenerbahce, however Omer Beyaz has already sat on the bench twice this season in the Super Lig.
The report claims that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City are also among the clubs interested in the young 16 year old so the Red Devils will need to act quickly if they are serious about securing Beyaz’s services.
