To have two of the biggest clubs in the world in Manchester United and Real Madrid fighting for your services must be the ultimate dream of every player. For Donny van de Beek it is not a dream but a reality.
The Ajax midfielder must be pinching himself as we speak.
However when you look at his performances over the last year or so, it is hardly a surprise he has attracted the attention of such gigantic clubs.

Donny van de Beek has been incredible. Last season he was crucial in helping Ajax reach the semi-finals of the Champions League with some awe-inspiring performances.
He was especially influential in the home of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu where he lead Ajax to a famous victory.
The 22 year old Dutch international is the perfect all around midfielder. Donny van de Beek has superb distribution and he can easily dictate games going forward. His movement is clever, with van de Beek having the ability to find space in pivotal areas of the pitch.
Comfortable as a deep-lying midfielder or as an advanced number ten, van de Beek has the ability to find the back of the net consistently.
He currently has 10 goals and 11 assists in 37 games, meanwhile last season van de Beek hit 17 goals and 13 assists in 57 games.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has struggled with the Red Devils’ midfield for parts of this season. Often it was the weak-spot of the side with many opposition teams exploiting its fragility.
With the addition of Bruno Fernandes some of that frailty has been fixed, however if Solskjaer is serious about wanting the Red Devils to return back to where they belong, he will want to add even more firepower.
Van de Beek with his ability to play anywhere across the midfield could be an ideal addition.
And while it seemed that Real Madrid were close to securing the Dutchman’s services, a new report has surfaced which claims United could sweep in with a last minute move.
According to Marca via the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are hoping to ‘hijack’ Real Madrid’s move for the Ajax star.
Would you be happy with the signing of Donny van de Beek?
