By Bence Bocsak
With Paul Pogba set to depart Manchester United in the summer, this candidate could have what it takes to replace the French World Cup winner.
The rumours just won’t go away. Paul Pogba seems destined to depart Manchester United.
For many months now the Frenchman has been rumoured to be keen on a move away from Old Trafford and it seems his desire is inexorable.
With plenty of clubs interested in his services, including Paris Saint Germain according to the latest reports, the Red Devils certainly won’t have a shortage of suitors.
However, what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might struggle with is replacing the influence Paul Pogba brought to United. His presence was often a huge lift for the team and his creative quality was a linchpin going forward.

But the Norwegian shouldn’t worry.
There is a simple solution.
The destination is Red Bull Salzburg and the target is Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian is the man to replace Paul Pogba at Manchester United. Dominik Szoboszlai is of the same ilk as the Frenchman.
A careful analysis of Szoboszlai’s game will give you an insight into a very similar playing style.
The Hungarian has the ability to make the same darting runs from midfield and dictate the tempo of the game. His height and stature makes him a combative and hardworking figure in the middle of the park, meanwhile he has the same tenacious energy on the pitch and can cover a lot of ground in one match.
Equally Dominik Szoboszlai posses a lethal long range shot which makes him potent from anywhere on the pitch.
In addition his distribution is exemplary and he has the ability to thread balls through the tightest of spaces.
Recently the Hungarian has been playing as the midfield three of a 4-3-3 formation under Jesse Marsch at Salzburg and it is how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plays too.
Szoboszlai is a highly creative player with exemplary vision. Imagine how free flowing his partnership could be alongside Bruno Fernandes. With Scott McTominay in the holding role, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could have the perfect midfield.
Of course Dominik Szoboszlai will have to step-up a level but he has already proven himself in the Champions League against the likes of Liverpool and Napoli with distinction. There is a reason why Arsenal are monitoring his development and United should swoop in.
Szoboszlai is young player with plenty of potential and he could play a pivotal role in the dynasty Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to establish at United.
He’d be a cheap replacement for Paul Pogba too, and could allow the club to invest money into other deals for the likes of Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane or Kalidou Koulibaly.
Would you be happy if United signed Dominik Szoboszlai as Paul Pogba’s replacement?
