Manchester United set to sign yet another midfielder
By Bence Bocsak
It seems Manchester United could be on the brink of signing yet another midfielder during the summer transfer window in order to bolster their squad.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s Manchester United project is now well underway. The Norwegian has finally laid the foundations of the core of his squad and results are starting to pick up.
The Red Devils stand on the precipice of something great.
In the recent matches, there have been flickers of Solskjaers vision finally coming to life.
Bruno Fernandes has been at the epicentre of that. The new Portuguese arrival seems to have ignited the fire in United’s often languid midfield.

The former Sporting Lisbon player has conjured up chances with ease for his teammates and United seem to be playing free flowing football at last.
Even when teams deploy rigid and deep-lying defences against them, Bruno Fernandes is capable of finding the pockets of space to thread the ball through to United’s attackers.
Fernandes’ arrival has certainly established a core part of United’s midfield, but it is clear Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs more.
The Norwegian boss wants to take the Red Devils back to their glory days. He wants them to compete just like they had done under Sir Alex Ferguson.
And for that Bruno Fernandes alone will not be enough.
United need more.
According to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser via TeamTalk another crucial piece of the United puzzle could be the addition of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid. The report claims that the Red Devils ‘have made contact’ with the player and hope to bring him to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
Thomas Partey who is a combative midfielder who likes to play in the holding midfield role, has an abundance of stamina and strength. He can be strong in the tackle and has often dictated games for Atletico Madrid this season.
United will have to fight their arch rivals Liverpool who are also rumoured to be interested in Thomas Partey which means the Red Devils must act quickly if they want to be successful.
What do you think, would Thomas Partey be a good signing for United?
