Manchester United given highly worrying injury news

Manchester United will be concerned by the latest news regarding a couple of their star players who may be sidelined with an injury.

Just when he thought it was over and he could breathe easily again, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been dealt yet another crisis at Manchester United.

The Norwegian boss has been wracked with mounting injuries to some of his best players at Old Trafford.

More from Red Devil Armada

Paul Pogba has essentially missed the vast majority of the campaign which had often hurt the team and the Red Devils struggled in his absence.

Now, the club’s leading scorer, Marcus Rashford has been sidelined for what appears to be the end of the season in another major blow.

And it seems things could get worse for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian boss revealed that club captain Harry Maguire might be a doubt for the weekend’s derby match against Manchester City.

This is what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in his press conference via United’s official website:

"“Well, he’s touch and go because he rolled his ankle but, hopefully, he’ll recover quickly,”"

In addition, both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James could be ruled out of the match.

The game will be a crucial moment in the Red Devils’ season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has inspired the club to impressive form in February and he will be hoping to kick on.

Currently United trail Chelsea by a mere three points, however a defeat against City could see them slip further down the table.

A win meanwhile could boost the club’s spirit.

Unfortunately, however the fact that the Red Devils could be without Harry Maguire will be hugely worrying news.

The United captain has been a stalwart presence at the heart of the Red Devils’ defence and often the club’s only reliable defender.

Both Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly have been in shaky form and Manchester City could exploit that on Sunday.

Wan-Bissaka and James’ absence will be a miss too, however Solskjaer has adequate replacements in their place. The likes of Diogo Dalot and Mason Greenwood can easily come in and do a fine job.

United fans will be praying Harry Maguire is able to get himself fit for the game.

What do you think, can United beat Manchester City without Harry Maguire?
