Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood has established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in football and he has an insane and shocking trait.
Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Marcus Rashford, Bobby Charlton and George Best. These are just some of the famous names who developed through the youth ranks at Manchester United.
The Red Devils’ academy is unrivalled and has historically honed some of the best talents in English football one generation after another.
No other team in football can compete with United’s academy hegemony.

And whilst under Jose Mourinho the progress of youth players seemed to have been stifled, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer it has seen a resurgence.
At the height of the resurgence has been the club’s young star, Mason Greenwood.
The England youth international caught the eye at every academy level before finally making the step-up to the first team this season.
And Mason Greenwood has dully took his chance.
The 18 year old has already found the back of the net over ten times for the Red Devils this season with some outstanding finishes.
His pace and his goalscoring prowess has established himself as a supreme talent. One of the best seen at Old Trafford in many years.
An he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the aforementioned names.
Recently a trait of his has been revealed which seems to suggest Mason Greenwood has the tools to do exactly just that.
Greenwood’s team-mate, Luke Shaw speaking to Soccer Am via TeamTalk revealed that Greenwood is equally good with both feet.
Luke Shaw said:
"“Sometimes he’ll take a free-kick with his right, sometimes he’ll take a corner with his left. In penalties the other day, he just took it with whatever foot he felt like. 100 per cent he’s as good with both feet. He’s so composed and confident that he can use whatever foot he wants.”"
An ability to be as equally adept with both feet is rare in football, and a great tool. Not only can Greenwood’s ability to interchange his shooting foot bamboozle defenders and goalkeepers alike but it can make him potent from any angle on the pitch.
It is an asset which will only help his goalscoring even more.
Having already shown such early promise, United can only hope Greenwood gets better and better.
The young star has the potential to go all the way and has often been compared to former Red Devils’ star Robin Van Persie, however if Mason Greenwood continues on the same trajectory he can be even better.
What do you think will Mason Greenwood become a United legend?
