Manchester United have been given the latest update on Marcus Rashford who has been ruled out with an injury since the middle of January.

For the first time in a while Old Trafford witnessed a beacon of light this season. On the perfectly trimmed turf, a superstar graced the field. He ran rings around defenders, bamboozled opponents with flicks and tricks and scored some outrageous goals. He was Manchester United’s pillar in one of the club’s most arduous periods in recent times.

His name is Marcus Rashford. The young man has been at the Red Devils ever since he was a mere kid. He has come through the ranks and taken every level at Manchester United in his stride.

Rashford has rarely disappointed. Often it was the high expectations which would merit him criticism.

However this season, the young forward exceeded expectations at United. Following the departure of Romelu Lukaku many casts doubt about Rashford’s ability to step-up but the young forward dully delivered.

His 14 goals during the first half of the season in the Premier League is one of the main reasons why the Red Devils are still in the fight for the top four.

Of course when news of his injury broke, United hoped he would only be sidelined for a short amount of time.

That didn’t prove to be the case. Marcus Rashford was rumoured to miss the remainder of the season. He was even a doubt for the EURO 2020 Championships this summer.

That would have been a major blow for club and country, however it seems United have been given a fresh development regarding their star striker.

According to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who spoke during his press conference via the Daily Mirror, Marcus Rashford could be in contention to play this season and he could be ready in ‘another couple of months.’

That will mean Rashford could feature in a hopefully crucial period of the season with United set to compete in the Europa League and continue their fight for the top four in the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford will also be able to feature for his country at the EUROs.
