Manchester United have been given the latest update on Jack Grealish after the player made a comment about his future in an interview.

It is rare that a player is born with as much innate ability as Manchester United target Jack Grealish. The current Aston Villa midfielder makes complicated skills and manoeuvres seem effortless on the pitch.

Grealish has been the bright spark in an Aston Villa side who have been devoid of any real sparkle this season.

The newly promoted side currently languish in the relegation zone and have struggled to pick up a consistent run of form.

Jack Grealish has been the antithesis in the team. The English midfielder has constantly bamboozled Premier League defenders. His supple technique, his ability to beat his man one on one with a clever drop of the shoulder or an audacious skill has made him a true entertainer in the Villa side.

But alongside his flair, Jack Grealish has also established himself as a consistent and reliable performer. His numbers have been impressive to say the least. The Aston Villa midfielder has so far scored 9 goals and made 8 assists in 29 appearances for his side this season.

Many have tipped him to get a well deserved England call-up later next month in the friendly fixtures against Italy and Denmark ahead of the European Championships.

It is no surprise that Manchester United have held a strong interest in the player. Jack Grealish has been purported to be the club’s number one transfer target in the summer window.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer short of options in midfield Jack Grealish could be the perfect addition. Alongside with Bruno Fernandes the pair could form a deadly duo as both are renowned for their striking technique and set-play specialty.

However, it seems that the Red Devils may have been dealt a small blow in their pursuit of the midfielder. Jack Grealish said the following to Sky Sports via the Daily Express:

"“When I was young I might have been a bit immature, but now I know what I want to do in my career, play for Aston Villa, play for England and win trophies. That’s the aim.”"

His comments seem to suggest that he is looking to remain at Aston Villa for the foreseeable future. However with his current side unlikely to win trophies, the latter part could suggest a potential move.
