Manchester United have been dealt a new injury blow ahead of their fixture against Everton and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be happy.

It has been the hallmark of Manchester United’s season. It has tormented Ole Gunnar Solskjaer throughout every month of the campaign. The Norwegian is desperate for it to go away, but it seems the Red Devils’ injury crisis is set to continue.

United have had to deal with the absence of star player Paul Pogba for the large majority of the season. In addition Solskjaer was also without Scott McTominay during a crucial spell of the campaign where the Scotsman missed vital games against rivals Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The latest blow was the injury to top goalscorer Marcus Rashford who has undoubtedly been one of the Red Devils’ best players throughout the campaign.

Marcus Rashford has seemed to have been ruled out for the rest of the season with even his participation in EURO 2020 in doubt.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must have been praying to the heavens for no more injuries until the end of the season, however it seems his prayers have not been answered.

The Red Devils have been dealt yet another injury blow.

Anthony Martial was absent in the Europa League victory over Club Brugge midweek and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed via Manchester Evening News that Martial is suffering with an injury.

The Norwegian said:

"“I don’t know about Anthony, to be honest. I’ve not asked. He tried this morning, so he wasn’t that bad but we’ll have to do a scan tomorrow probably.”"

Anthony Martial’s absence will be a huge blow. The Frenchman is United’s second highest scorer in the Premier League and has been in good form recently netting in consecutive games.

His injury has now left the Red Devils’ with only new signing Odion Ighalo and Mason Greenwood left to play upfront.

Greenwood has done well in recent weeks and has been the bright spark of United’s season, however at 18 it is still too early to solely rely on the youngster.

Meanwhile Odion Ighalo has gotten off the mark for United, however he is still unproven and hasn’t featured a lot in the Premier League so far.

Solskjaer will be hoping the pair of them can fill the void in Anthony Martial’s absence and that the injury picked up by the forward isn’t too severe.
