Manchester United could lose key summer target to rivals
By Bence Bocsak
According to the latest reports Manchester United could lose a key transfer target to arch rivals, Chelsea, in the summer window.
Old Trafford glimmers in aura of hope. For the first time since the start of the season Manchester United fans have started to belief. The Red Devils’ faithful are finally onboard with the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer project.
The reason behind this new wave of optimism can be largely attributed to the arrival of Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder seems to have had a transformative impact on the team.
United are playing free flowing attacking football for the first time this season. The Red Devils’ midfield are cutting through defences like a knife through butter. It has been a joy to watch and a welcome change from the customary drab and lacklustre performances which have wreaked United’s season.

It is also a testament to just how much a successful transfer window can impact the team.
United now have high hopes of making the Champions League next season as well as having a successful Europa League campaign this season.
With those prospects the lure of Old Trafford definitely seems to have increased and it will mean Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a fine list of players to chose from when he embarks on a crucial transfer window this summer.
One player who the Red Devils have been linked with and who could be an ideal partner to Bruno Fernandes, or even a potential replacement for Paul Pogba is Houssem Aouar.
Houssem Aouar is one of the most exciting midfield prospects playing in Europe at the moment. His lithe movement and diminutive figure has established himself as a nimble player who can dribble past defenders with ease and find the pockets of space to penetrate the opposition’s defence.
Houssem Aouar recently impressed whilst playing for Lyon against Juventus in the Champions League and helped secure victory for the French side in the first leg.
However it seems the Red Devils could lose out on Houssem Aouar as Tuttomercatoweb via the Daily Express has reported that Chelsea have made ‘a bid’ for the young French midfielder’s services.
Houssem Aouar could be a huge asset at Old Trafford and the Red Devils should try their best to thwart Chelsea’s advances towards the player.
Aouar has the potential to form a formidable partnership with the likes of McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.
What do you think, would Houssem Aouar be a good signing for United?
