Manchester United will welcome the Belgian side Club Brugge with the tie level and hoping to secure a comfortable victory against their opponents.
Old Trafford has hosted some of the greatest European nights in English football. From Barcelona in 2008, to Roma in 2007 and Milan in 2010. Manchester United will be hoping to conjure up the spirit of those victories when they welcome Club Brugge to the theatre of dreams.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rested many of his key players which means the game is finely poised.
The Belgian side caused the Red Devils plenty of problems in the first leg however their danger man Emmanuel Dennis is ruled out of the second leg which will give United some respite.
Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood who both didn’t start the first leg are set to return to the United starting eleven. Their contributions in attack will be vital if the Red Devils are to secure the comfortable victory they yearn.
Perhaps the biggest boost for the club will be the return of Scott McTominay who hasn’t featured since December but is finally in contention to start the game.
The game against Club Brugge promises to be a thrilling encounter and one Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to win after his impressive victory against Paris Saint Germain this time last year.
Here is how the Red Devils are expected to line-up:
Goalkeeper: Sergio Romero
Right Back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Centre Back: Victor Lindelof
Centre Back: Harry Maguire
Left Back: Brandon Williams
Central Midfielder: Fred
Central Midfielder: Scott McTominay
Attacking Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes
Right Winger: Mason Greenwood
Left Winger: Daniel James
Striker: Anthony Martial
At the moment this is the strongest line-up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has at his disposal.
On the bench Odion Ighalo will be looking to get more minutes as a substitute. Meanwhile Luke Shaw who has been in good form of late is expected to be rested considering the left-back’s injury proneness.
