Manchester United given major boost to sign world class striker

Manchester United have been given a major boost to land their former transfer target in the future after details about his contract have been revealed.

It seemed like destiny. It was written in the stars. The perfect fairy tale was set to come true. The prodigy returning to save his former master. It would have been the perfect Hollywood story. But unfortunately Erling Braut Haland never ended up signing for Manchester United.

Despite having a close knit relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who gave Erling Haaland his debut whilst the pair of them worked together at Molde in their home country, Erling Haaland opted to sign for Borussia Dortmund instead.

The rest is history. The 19 year old has taken the Bundesliga by storm and has undoubtedly had one of the best starts any striker has had in a new team.

Erling Haaland is slowly establishing himself as one of the most fearsome strikers in the world. And still at just 19 years old he is set to have a long and prosperous career ahead of him.

The future is unpredictable of course and it seems the Norwegian could still potentially line up for the Red Devils.

The latest reports detailing Erling Haaland’s current contract status will give United a major boost in their pursuit.

Italian outlet Gazzeta dello Sport via TeamTalk has revealed that Erling Haaland has a buyout clause of just £62.7 million until 2022.

If the Norwegian continues his good run of form that would be a major bargain for the Red Devils.

Especially as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was forced into making a panic buy in Odion Ighalo this January which means he is still searching for a permanent forward solution.

Erling Haaland may have chosen Borussia Dortmund for now, but if United manage to fight themselves back into the Champions League, perhaps he may be tempted to reunite with his former boss once and for all.
