Manchester United have finally been given the major injury boost they have been waiting for ahead of their Premier League fixture against Watford.

There is no beating around the bush, Manchester United have had a turbulent season so far. The Red Devils have already suffered far too many defeats and whilst they have recorded some impressive victories in big games, the losses currently outweigh the wins.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needs to turn this around if he is to fulfil his ambition of getting Manchester United back to where they belong and competing against their arch rivals in Liverpool and Manchester City.

Of course this season the Norwegian has not been helped by the mounting injury crisis but having made acquisitions in the January transfer window and with key players set to return, United are expected to do much better during the final stretch of the season.

Scott McTominay was undoubtedly Manchester United’s best midfielder before he was ruled out of action in December.

Since then, Scott McTominay has been sorely missed with United’s midfield often looking rugged. Many sides’ have exploited the gaping void which Scott McTominay’s absence left behind but now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can sigh a breath of relief at last.

Scott McTominay’s return will add the steel and compact defensive shape needed in the midfield. With the new addition of Bruno Fernandes in an attacking midfield position, the pair of them could form a formidable partnership and could significantly rejuvenate the Red Devils line-up.
