Manchester United are expected to face a tough test in the Europa League as they travel to Club Brugge in Belgium. Here’s how they will line-up.

Manchester United are a huge European club. Throughout their history they have always performed well in European competitions. One Europa League title and three Champions League trophies are proof of exactly just that.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to continue that legacy when he guides his Manchester United side to Belgium on Thursday afternoon.

The Norwegian has often played a largely inexperienced team during the club’s group stage matches, however as the competition hots up he will certainly think about putting out a much stronger side.

More from Red Devil Armada

In Club Brugge the Red Devils will face a tough test with the Belgian outfit having impressed in the Champions League group stages and even secured a draw against Real Madrid at the Bernebeau this season.

Their danger man Emmanuel Dennis is regarded as an exciting property in Europe with some big teams vying for his services and United will certainly have to be on their ‘A’ game to ensure he will not repeat the impressive brace he scored against Real Madrid.

United themselves will be without some key players. Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have not recovered from their injuries and Mason Greenwood has also not travelled with the squad.

Here is how the Red Devils are expected to line-up:

Goalkeeper: Sergio Romero

Right Back: Diogo Dalot

Centre Back: Victor Lindelof

Centre Back: Harry Maguire

Left Back: Luke Shaw

Central Midfielder: Nemanja Matic

Central Midfielder: Andreas Pereira

Central Midfielder: Jesse Lingard

Right Winger: Juan Mata

Left Winger: Daniel James

Forward: Odion Ighalo

New signing Odion Ighalo is expected to lead the line, however Bruno Fernandes may be given a rest, especially with Juan Mata’s good form of late.

Fringe players like Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot will be given a chance to show their worth.
