Manchester United receive huge Marcus Rashford update
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United have been given a major new update on the fitness and future of Marcus Rashford and it is not the news they expected.
In the bleak darkness, there has been one glimmering beacon of light and hope at Manchester United this season. That light has been Marcus Rashford.
With the departure of Romelu Lukaku many feared the Red Devils would struggle in his absence, but Marcus Rashford shattered those notions.
Just like he did as a 17 year old, Marcus Rashford burst onto the scene once again. This time he was more mature, faster and his finishing even more deadly.

After a couple of idle seasons in which Marcus Rashford failed to live up to his early hype, the English international exceeded expectations at Old Trafford.
His pace, and his silky skills lit up the often dire Manchester United performances. Marcus Rashford bombed down the wing like a man possessed and he mesmerised defenders over and over again.
On top of that Rashford also struck an impressive 14 goals thanks to his lethal finishing. Some of them will undoubtedly be goal of the season contenders, including the free-kick striker against Chelsea.
Given all that, the deep sigh of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was understandable when he was asked to give an update on Marcus Rashford in his recent press conference via the BBC.
It was also a damning giveaway.
The Norwegian revealed that Marcus Rashford may not ‘play again’ this season and that he could also be a doubt for the European Championships.
Initial reports of Marcus Rashford’s injury seemed a lot more hopeful than that. Even Solskjaer himself admitted he was hoping Rashford would ‘recover quicker’ than it is now expected.
For the Red Devils who are still desperately pursuing fourth place in the Premier League, Marcus Rashford’s prolonged absence will come as a major blow.
They will be praying he can defy expectations and doctors and still feature this season.
However, Manchester United will also be reluctant to rush him back and aggravate the injury.
What do you think, will Marcus Rashford play again this season?
