Manchester United fighting Liverpool and PSG in wonderkid race
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United are set to battle it out for an exciting wonderkid with arch rivals Liverpool and French giants Paris Saint Germain.
Wonderkids are a special and often fragile breed of footballers. Their status can change virtually over night at times. Manchester United will be all too aware of their kind with the Red Devils’ very own wonderkids often falling short of expectations at Old Trafford, despite showing early promise, such as the likes of Federico Macheda and Adnan Januzaj.
Yet the Red Devils have also often seen wonderkids exceed expectations such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford.
It is why the potential arrival of another wonderkid could excite the fans. The gamble is huge but the pay off could be ten fold.

And in the Red Devils’ current target that potential seems to be extremely high. According to Football Insider United are targeting West Bromwich forward Jovan Malcolm.
The 16 year old, Jovan Malcolm came into the mainstream after he scored a spectacular four goals against Liverpool’s U18 side and has been in remarkable form at U18 level for West Bromwich having netted eight times in twelve games.
Big things are expected of the young Englishman at West Brom and it is no surprise the Red Devils are interested in his services but according to Football Insider’s report Manchester United are not the only club looking at signing Jovan Malcolm. The report claims Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City are also fighting to sign the young star.
However despite the interest, Jovan Malcolm maybe tempted to remain where he is. He is valued highly at West Brom and the club have given plenty of youth players a chance this season including the likes of Nathan Ferguson and Jonathan Leko which will give Malcolm some encouragement of making it to the first team.
Whereas at the Red Devils or the other tops sides Malcolm would have a much tougher path into the first team especially at United with the recent emergence of Mason Greenwood.
Nonetheless the lure of Manchester United could still be enough to attract the youngster.
What do you think, would Jovan Malcolm be a good signing for Manchester United?
