Manchester United set to beat Liverpool to the best wonderkid in Europe

Manchester United are on the brink of beating arch rivals, Liverpool, to the exceptional young talent who is one of the best in Europe.

Manchester United and Liverpool are perpetual enemies. When they go toe to toe to try and sign a player the rivalry erupts even more intensely at times than it does on the football pitch. In the latest report by Calcio Mercato via Caught Offside, the Italian outlet credits Manchester United with an interest and omits Liverpool from the teams vying for the services of Sandro Tonali.

With the Red Devils desperate to bolster their midfield options and replace their star player Paul Pogba, Sandro Tonali might be the perfect candidate.

Tonali may have been likened to Gerrard and Pirlo but he is of the same ilk as Pogba and he could have a transformative impact on the Manchester United midfield. The Red Devils should do everything in their power to ensure Liverpool continue to be deterred from showing more interest in the player and try to wrap up a deal for Sandro Tonali as soon as possible.
