Manchester United have been given a huge boost to land one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League at the moment ahead of the summer window.
Manchester United have been devoid of one of the most key elements in football this season. In order to be a successful side you must have a top quality and full functioning midfield.
On the contrary, the Red Devils’ midfield has been anything but. United’s midfield has been spineless and lacked speed or any steel and rigidity which has allowed teams to dominate them and run through them as if they were not even there.
Of course much of the struggle has been due to United missing the likes of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, however with the latter set to depart the club in the summer it seems the issue may not be resolved upon their return.

United will need someone with drive and determination in order to reignite the spark in their lifeless midfield.
In London, in the capital city the Red Devils might find their perfect candidate. Playing for the claret and blue of West Ham Declan Rice has been impressing pundits and football fans alike with his bullish style of play and exuberant energy on the pitch. Some have even likened Declan Rice to former United great Roy Keane.
Declan Rice is exactly the type of player Manchester United need. And it seems the Red Devils have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of the England international.
Manchester Evening News has reported that United are interested in Declan Rice and West Ham’s manager has also given the Red Devils some hope in their pursuit. David Moyes said the following:
"“Quite often when building a club you have to sell. I hope it’s not the case with Declan but I said the same with Wayne Rooney and Joleon Lescott [at Everton].”"
That statement hints at a possible acceptance of Declan Rice’s inevitable departure from the Hammers and it will certainly increase the club’s chances of securing a deal for the talented midfielder.
What do you think would Declan Rice be a good signing for Manchester United?
