Manchester United will be desperate to sign a forward on a permanent basis in the summer and they may have found the perfect candidate.

Manchester United need a forward. It is not a trifling statement. And it is not the tantrum of an ungrateful supporter. It is cold hard facts. Ever since the departure of Romelu Lukaku the Red Devils have been without a true genuine out and out forward. Yes Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have done well trying to fill the void but the two alone are not enough. For now Odion Ighalo will suffice until the summer. When the transfer window reopens however, the Red Devils must look to reinforce their attacking options.

And where better to look than the sunny Argentina? The South American country has produced some of the best strikers in the history of football. From Mario Kempes, Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta to the current crop of Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain.

They are names known for scoring buckets full of goals in some of the biggest competitions in the world.

And United’s latest target could be on the verge of emulating their success. According to Fox Sports Argentina via the Daily Express, Manchester United are interested in signing 20 year old San Lorenzo forward Adolfo Gaich.

The young striker has been in good form in the Argentinian division and has even earned his first senior international cap for his country. Adolfo Gaich could also be in line to represent his nation at the Olympics in Tokyo later this year having scored an impressive 6 goals in 5 games for Argentina’s U23 side during the qualifying process.

Adolfo Gaich’s towering figure and exuberant energy makes him a nuisance for defenders and they are traits United have desperately lacked this season. His physical presence is one of his biggest assets. Adolfo Gaich is a huge danger in the air. Having seen the deliveries of Bruno Fernandes against Chelsea from set pieces Adolfo Gaich could thrive at the Red Devils with his impressive 6 foot 3 height.
