Win and you stand a chance. Lose and most hope will fade away. Manchester United’s game against Chelsea is a must win for the Red Devils to keep their hopes of a Champions League spot alive for next season.
In the past Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side have a good record against the Blues. In the opening game of the season the Red Devils recorded an impressive 4-0 victory and they will hope to repeat the same performance this time around.

Of course however with a depleted squad, chances of a famous victory appear slim. Solskjaer will be without his two best players in Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford.
Nonetheless it will be an opportunity for the younger players to make a mark as well as some of the Norwegian’s new winter signings.
Both Odion Ighalo and Bruno Fernandes are expected to be involved in the game.
Here’s how Manchester United will line up against Chelsea:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
Right Back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Centre Back: Victor Lindelof
Centre Back: Harry Maguire
Left Back: Brandon Williams
Central Midfielder: Fred
Central Midfielder: Nemanja Matic
Central Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes
Right Winger: Daniel James
Forward: Anthony Martial
Left Winger: Mason Greenwood
This will undoubtedly be the biggest test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and they will be hoping for a strong performance from new signing Bruno Fernandes who is expected to control the midfield and conjure up chances for his teammates.
Mason Greenwood is set to have another big chance to impress having already enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season. The young forward will hope he continues his good goalscoring form and manages to cover for the absence of Marcus Rashford.
Meanwhile Odion Ighalo could make his debut off the bench as the Nigerian forward is expected to be named in the squad.
