Manchester United face huge double Dean Henderson blow
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could face a double blow in their attempts to retain their current Sheffield United loanee Dean Henderson ahead of the summer window.
David De Gea has been the number one goalkeeper at Manchester United for almost a decade. His role as number one has been largely uncontested apart from a brief spell during his initial settling in period at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard has been a loyal servant and almost always a reliable pair of hands in between the sticks. However more recently David De Gea’s form has started to dwindle for the Red Devils. The Spanish shot stopper has made some blunders especially this season which has cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side dearly.
The poor form David De Gea has been in, has raised some question marks over the future of the number one goalkeeper position at Old Trafford. Those questions marks are amplified by the club’s current loan star Dean Henderson.

Dean Henderson is on loan at high flying Sheffield United at the moment and he has been one of the best keepers in the Premier League this season. The 22 year old has kept 9 clean sheets this season which is the second highest in the Premier League and has been hugely responsible for the solid defence Sheffield United have established.
His future is now open to a plethora of opportunities. Sheffield United will be desperate to keep Dean Henderson at the club. And with David De Gea’s poor run of form the Red Devils may also want to do the same.
However both sides have been sent a major blow as per reports by TeamTalk via the Daily Star with both Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain interested in the services of Dean Henderson also.
With interest hotting up for Dean Henderson and Manchester United’s position in the Premier League table looking fragile they might face an uphill battle in trying to keep the 22 year old goalkeeper at the club.
Dean Henderson has the potential to become an extremely accomplished keeper and has been tipped to become England number one at the Euros, therefore the Red Devils should do everything in their power to keep him at Old Trafford.
What do you think, can Manchester United keep Dean Henderson in the summer?
