Manchester United make incredible bid for Liverpool target

Manchester United are set to battle their rivals Liverpool for an incredibly talented player in the summer transfer window and a bidding war could ensue.
The rivalry of Manchester United and Liverpool is as eternal as the kindling of flames. The two cities and football clubs have bickered with one another for centuries and share a tremendous amount of hostility towards the other side.
It is a rivalry which has seen fierce battles on the pitch time and time again. From Matt Busby’s era to Shankly’s at Liverpool, then Sir Alex Ferguson and now Jurgen Klopp. Great tacticians and masterminds have tried to outwit the other since the inception of football. It has seen some classic fixtures and victories which are forged in the memories of the Red Devils faithful and vice versa.
But the battle has not just been fought on the football pitch. With Manchester United and Liverpool undoubtedly the two biggest clubs in England, they also have often fought off the field to secure transfer targets.

Notoriously Manchester United wanted to sign Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino meanwhile Liverpool were linked with new United signing Bruno Fernandes before his arrival at Old Trafford.
For long Manchester United held the hegemony over signings but recently their plight from the pinnacle of the Premier League has seen them lose some key targets.
Nonetheless they still possess the financial might capable of attracting any player in world football to Old Trafford.
And it seems the Red Devils will test all their might as they are set to enter the race for Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe.
According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque via the Daily Express, the Red Devils have tabled a bid for the services of Kylian Mbappe along with their rivals Liverpool.
That will mean the ancient rivalry will have yet another battle to fight. Both United and Liverpool will be desperate to land the World Cup winning Kylian Mbappe and it will be a huge coup for the winner.
