The Premier League star is set to be keen on joining Manchester United in the summer and the Red Devils could wrap up a deal for him soon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a clear goal at Manchester United. He is guiding the Red Devils’ metamorphosis and wants to mould the club into a powerhouse. For that the Norwegian will have to do major shifting in the current United squad and the summer will be the perfect opportunity for him to do so.

Solskjaer has shown his ruthlessness in snipping away the deadwood at the club letting the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku depart. However what the Norwegian has struggled with is adequately replacing those players which has left him in a bit of a crisis this season due to the Red Devils mounting injuries.

In the summer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must ensure he does not repeat the same mistakes.

The Norwegian must bolster the squad and get rid of deadwood without weakening the Red Devils’ squad depth.

One player who would undoubtedly strengthen the Manchester United squad is current Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.

The England international is one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League and according to Manchester Evening News, he is the club’s primary creative playmaker target for the summer.

The report also claims that James Maddison is very keen on signing for the Red Devils and that if it was up to him, ‘he would have been at United years ago.’

That will comes as a major boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The midfield is an area where the squad has the least amount of depth even with the latest addition of Bruno Fernandes and James Maddison would be the perfect addition for the club.

The Leicester City star’s pace and vision could help the Red Devils in breaking down deep lying defences. The fact that he is so keen on joining United could also bring the best out of him.
