Manchester United given major boost ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester United have been given a huge boost ahead of their Premier League fixture with Chelsea with some of the blues’ key players set to miss the game.
When Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday night, the Red Devils will undoubtedly play their biggest fixture of the season. With six points separating the London side and United a loss would almost certainly doom Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side of achieving the highly coveted fourth spot in the Premier League. A win however will almost certainly keep them within touching distance at least and could give the Red Devils a psychological advantage over the blues.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not been the most fortunate since he has returned to Old Trafford as a manager. In fact the Norwegian has incurred some terrible misfortunes during his time at the club. From some embarrassing defeats to unexpected injuries and key players being sidelined for extensive periods. He will hoping things finally go his way against Chelsea on Monday night.
There will be huge pressure on the United boss’ shoulders. A defeat could even doom his position as manager and earn him the sack with discontent brewing at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer will need all the luck on his side. And the Norwegian has been given some early positive news which will give the United boss some hope.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed via Manchester Evening News that his blues’ side will be missing some key men for the big clash. Both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic are one hundred percent ruled out for the game, while Tammy Abraham is also a doubt.
Pulisic and Abraham have been two of Chelsea’s biggest attacking threats this season so the news of their potential absence will give Solskjaer some hope of getting a result.
In addition, Chelsea have also not been in good form recently in the Premier League suffering a surprising defeat to Newcastle as well as two disappointing draws to Arsenal and Leicester City which could be another sign of hope for Solskjaer.
