Manchester United will have an interesting summer transfer budget according to reports as it promises to be an exciting and busy summer for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are under a great metamorphosis. The club are slowly trying to emerge from the dying embers of Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign. It has been a difficult process with plenty of stumbling blocks in their way and the Red Devils are far away from having performed all the rites and rituals to get back to where they belong.

The club’s current position in 8th place in the Premier League has left supporters despondent. Some have even questioned whether the club could ever truly return back to their glory days. It is a dilemma which has wreaked the Red Devils supporters for a number of years.

There have been some false dawns and unfulfilled promises. Even under the club’s current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the direction Manchester United are heading towards is unclear.

One can only hope, the Norwegian having experienced the highs and United trophy hoards as a player can be the man to taste that success once more as a manager.

One thing is for certain however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be short of finances in the upcoming transfer window. According to reports by Soccerex via the Daily Express Manchester United could have a transfer budget in excess of £273.5 million.

That will mean the club will have plenty of money to invest and there should be no excuses for being unable to attract the right calibre of players.

Even with Paul Pogba set to depart in the summer, Solskjaer should be able to put together a squad that will be capable of competing against the very best teams in Europe and in the Premier League.

£273.5 million plus the hefty fee Manchester United are expected to get for Paul Pogba will leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the power to sign virtually anyone he desired.
