Manchester United to sign world class midfielder from Spanish giants
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of an exciting midfielder from one of the biggest Spanish clubs.
Often footballers have the most cataclysmic declines. Players can turn from hero to zero virtually overnight. Form is fragile and the football world is anything but patient. A great case in point is current Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho.
Almost two years ago the Brazilian was in the form of his life and was considered as one of the best playmakers in the world. He was plying his trade for United’s arch rivals, Liverpool, helping the Reds to emerge onto the pinnacle of world football.
Alas a hefty move to Barcelona ensued. But the Brazilian could not find his feet at the Nou Camp. After a barren full season at the club he was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich.

In Germany Coutinho has fared somewhat better and his stats have improved. He even netted an impressive hat-trick in the Bundesliga. Yet it seems that according to reports Bayern Munich are not interested in purchasing the Brazilian on a permanent deal.
According to the Express via Manchester Evening News, the German giants will ‘rekindle’ their interest in Leroy Sane in the summer instead.
This will give Manchester United the opportunity to swoop in, who are thought to be interested in Coutinho according to the Express.
It would be a major coup for the Red Devils if they are to sign Coutinho, but the club’s midfield clearly needs reinforcing and the Brazilian would be the perfect fit.
Coutinho has that special quality about him and his silky feet have dazzled Premier League defenders in the past. The Red Devils are dying for someone of his creative sparkle to reignite their offensive movement and help break down deep lying and rigid defences.
The fact that Coutinho played for Liverpool and broke the Kopites’ hearts would only make the move sweeter for the Red Devils.
What do you think would Philippe Coutinho be a good signing for Manchester United?
